My name is Dylan Soong. I have been researching the use of artificial intelligence to analyze archery form for the past three and a half years. Here are some photos and videos of my journey.
I developed a wrist worn device that used an accelerometer and an AI model to evaluate my release.
I used computer vision object detection to track the movements of my head and hands and trained an AI model to evaluate my release based on these movements.
I used computer vision pose estimation to track the movements of my joints and trained an AI model to evaluate my release based on these movements. This allowed for analysis to be run on archers other than myself (including Olympian Brady Ellison!). This was a big step towards the Archery Vision app.
